A 23-year-old male was taken into police custody following an altercation in Old Road that left another 23-year-old, Ricaldo Joseph, dead and a 19-year-old being treated in hospital for serious injuries.

Joseph’s death has been recorded as Antigua and Barbuda’s third homicide 2024.

It is alleged that, on Saturday evening, the two men were arguing at a bar in Old Road which escalated after one of them grabbed a cutlass, and inflicted fatal injuries to the victim’s head, neck and arms.
