Action in the Antigua and Barbuda Volleyball Association (ABVA) competition continued over the weekend with victories for Da Squad 2 and Paragons 2 on Sunday at the indoor volleyball facility located at the YMCA Sports Complex.
Contesting the opening match, Da Squad 2 defeated Royal Cruisers 2 by a 3-1 margin in sets. Da Squad claimed the opening set 25-14 before Royal Cruisers rebounded to take the second set 25-22. Da Squad however wrapped up the contest by taking the last two sets 25-16 and 25-16 respectively.
There was a comfortable 3-0 sets victory for Paragons in the feature encounter as they beat Dynasty Queen by scores of 25-17, 25-15 and 25-13.
On Saturday, Velocity went under to the experienced Storming Lions 3-0 in sets. Storming Lions comfortable won the opening set 25-8 before claiming the second set 25-12. Then then easily tool the third and final set 25-13.
In Saturday’s other contest, Stoneville had a comfortable 3-0 sets victory over High Flyerz. The former champions won the opening set 25-18, claimed the second set 25-23 before taking the final set 25-16.
