Willock, Gray and Jeremiah win big in draughts tournament

Veteran, Bernard “King Premier” Willock and Marvin “Bruce” Gray, continued their dominance in the Masters Division of the ongoing Swizzle Stick Bar Easter Classic Invitational Draughts Tournament, winning by convincing margins on Tuesday night.

Willock dominated his opponent St Clair Josiah to win by a 7-1 margin while Gray outplayed O’Neil Jordan 6-3. However, Anthony “Tony” Gomes rebounded from a 6-3 loss to Gray on Monday to enjoy the largest margin of victory on Tuesday night, a 9-0 hammering of Elvis Cordice. Gomes then won a second straight game, beating St Clair Josiah 7-1. Cordice rebounded from his 9-0 loss to Gomes to beat Josiah 5-2.

Meanwhile, in the Seniors Division, Euren “Hardroy” Jeremiah enjoyed a relatively easy 7-1 win over Jack Matthew while Stephenson “Smoothie” Vital beat Eustace “Zocio” Samuel 6-3. The other clash between Samuel and Jeremiah ended in a 4-4 draw.
