Swimming Federation names largest Carifta team ahead of Bahamas event

The Antigua and Barbuda Swimming Federation (ABSF) has announced a 24-member squad ahead of the upcoming Carifta Championships, scheduled to start March 29in the Bahamas. This represents the largest contingent to date to represent Antigua and Barbuda at Carifta, marking a significant milestone for the Federation.

For the first time, the federation will introduce a swimmer to participate in the open water segment of the Carifta Championships.

The selected squad members and their respective age group categories for the Carifta Championships are as follows…

Boys 11-12: Alessandro Bazzoni, Jamie Tranter

Girls 13-14: Davina Barton, Isabelle Bremner, Mila Festini Cromer  

Boys 13-14: Reuben Edwards

Girls 15-17: Aunjelique Liddie, Alandra Dublin, Ellie Shaw, Selah Wiltshire, Madison MacMillan

Boys 15-17: Manav Sindhi, Tivon Benjamin, Jai Sindhi, Neil Sherwin Noronha, Davien Barton, Naeem DeSouza, Ethan Stubbs-Green

Girls 18 & Over: Angelique Gittens, Bianca Mitchell   

Boys 18 &Over: Stefano Mitchell, Tony Goodwin

Open Water: Yacine Williams

The team will be coached by Wayne Mitchell with Nelson Molina as his assistant. The team will be managed by Pooja Tivary.
