Master Ballers get largest win of ABFA season, Urlings and Progressors also get three points in Second Division

FC Master Ballers racked up the largest margin of victory across all divisions in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) to date when, on Wednesday, they pummelled the struggling Young Warriors FC, 18-nil in the Second Division competition at Buckley’s.

Brandon Satchell and Zawandi Weathered led the scoring for Ballers with hauls [four goals], with Satchell netting in minutes 6, 25, 43 and 79 while Weathered scored in minutes 49, 74, 77 and 82. Amejah Nibbs (2 and 15) and Shareem Richards (15 and 47) both contributed with braces. There were single conversions from Eric Moreta (40 penalty), Rushane Dench (57) and Marlon Peters (88).

The win lifts Master Ballers to 28 points from 13 showings and fourth on the 20-team standings while Warriors remains at the bottom of the standings with three points after 13 matches also.

There was victory as well for Urlings FC as they beat Belmont FC 4-3 for their seventh win in 14 showings.

Kestone Daley (6), Jahmiah Daniel (10), Kion Jackson (16) and Raheem Horseford (26) all scored once for Urlings as they move to 25 points from 13 outings and seventh on the standings. Meanwhile, Nyah Michael (28), Conroy Brown (41 penalty) and Jahvier Joseph (57) were all on target for Belmont as they remain on 23 points from 15 showings and ninth on the standings.

Also on Wednesday, JSC Progressors beat Abaya 3-0 when they met at the FA’s Technical Center. Elmore Lewis recorded a brace with goals in minutes 27 and 36 while Walter Bellot struck in minute 31.

In the other match contested, Blackburn Palace and Golden Grove played to a 3-3 draw when they met at PMS. Diondre Harrigan scored all three goals for Palace with strikes in minutes 3, 31 and 45 while Attian Fabian (40), Tyler Isaac (44) and Calroy Douglas (68) were on target for Golden Grove.
