Fourteen youth cricketers have been selected for the upcoming Leeward Islands Cricket Board Under 19 Tournament which will be held in St Kitts from April 19-21.
The squad includes Leeward Islands Under 19 players Micah McKenzie, bowling all-rounder Wilden Cornwall Jr and left arm seamer Yanique Watley.
Leeward Islands Under 17 players, fast bowler Mekali Tonge, batting all-rounder Xaveek Toppin and off spinner Ozan William also make the list.
Leeward Islands Under 15 Captain J’quan Athanaze was also included, along with his teammate Hosea Roberts.
Athanaze is the leading run-scorer in the Ministry of Sports’ Under 19 School League. The other players to make the squad are batting all-rounder Tanez Francis, left arm pacer Jared Jno Baptiste, pacer Tyree Moore, all-rounder Brent Joseph and Xanden Hobson.
