Three charged in jewellery theft probe

A week after the police laid charges against Keriano Thomas and Kenisha Whyte for the unlawful possession of a gun and ammunition, the duo has been charged in connection with thousands of dollars worth of jewellery that was allegedly stolen from relatives of a politician.

The two accused, who were allegedly caught with some of the items while shopping in Epicurean Supermarket two weeks ago, are accused of robbing Alicia Pierre-Louis of an iPad and a quantity of jewellery valuing over $600,000.

A third man, Jevon Lloyd, is jointly charged with them.
