Two hours and one minute was how long the match between Royal Cruisers and Starz lasted as the two faced off after both teams came out ready to play and were relentless.
The Cruisers dominated set one effortlessly but then Starz decided they weren’t going down without a fight and skillfully snatched set two.
The excitement did not end there as both teams traded sets again, hence pushing the game to a tie breaker.
Royal Cruisers came out the block fearless, leaving no hope for their opponents. They destroyed the ego of Starz, beating them under 5 in the last set.
Royal Cruisers won the match 3-2 with scores of 25-16, 20-25, 25-16, 22-25 and 15-3.
Immediately after, in the highly anticipated second encounter with Paragons and Chargers-Eagles, Paragons came out firing putting lots of pressure on Eagles team.
The Eagles could not find their wings to fly in this match-up, hence Paragons took the bull by the horns and demolished their opponents, emerging victorious in three straight sets.
It was a well deserved victory for Paragons, winning in straight sets 25-19, 25-14 and 25-18. The entire match duration was approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes.
Action will continue for ABAVA Division Two next Sunday and Dynasty Queens face off CIA Da Squad, while Chargers-Eagles will battle Royal Cruisers. In Division One, Sharks will face off with High Flyerz while Stoneville will battle Chargers-Velocity.
