Point WestHam jump to top spot after latest win

Point WestHam FC jumped to the top spot of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) Division 2 Zone 1 standings after gaining a point in their two-all draw versus neighbours, Blackburn Palace FC on Wednesday in Villa.
Cardel Roberts scored the equalising goal for front-runners in the 73rd minute after teammate, Jahmarley Beazer struck home in the 63rd.
Blackburn’s Steve Willock (38th) and Johnathan McNamee (46th) both scored.
WestHam now edge out FLOW Bethesda “Bald Eagles” by a point as they now sit on seven points after three showings.
Blackburn however dropped to 10th on the 14-team standings with one point after three showings.
Newbies, Earthquakes FC continue to have an impressive run in their first season.
The newbies recorded an 5-1 thrashing of CPTSA Wings in Fort Road.
Junito Jeffery fell a goal shy of a hattrick scoring twice for the victors.
Teammates, Jermaine Meade and Daniel Hopkins also found the back of the net for the victors.
The other goal came from an own goal scored by Alex Riley.
Kimoi Walsh was the lone goal-scorer for Wings.
Earthquakes now move to third place on the standings with six points while Wings dropped to 7th with three points.
In the other Zone 1 match-up, Belmont FC and Herberts FC played to a nil-all draw.
Meanwhile in Zone 2, BlueJays FC trounced Freemans Village Scorpions 6-0 while Mahico FC went under to 5Ps Wadadli FC 6-2.
Michelle Francis recorded a hattrick for BlueJays FC in the 4th, 49th and 71st minutes.
Teammate Dennie Henry scored twice in the 20th and 61st minute while Abison Henry rounded off the goals in the 62nd minute for the victors.
BlueJays now move to 2nd place on the 14-team standings with seven
points while the Scorpions dropped to 13th as they have to yet  gain a point this season.
 Patrick Valentine (10th, 42nd), Peter Bellafonti (57th), Ori Anthony (60th), Mark Salmon (61st) and Richie Thomas (75th) all scored for 5Ps while Tyrese Morris
was the lone goal-scorer for Mahico hitting home twice.
5Ps now move to 7th place with four points while Mahico fell to the bottom of the table.
