Princess Margaret School (PMS) will seek to dethrone defending champions, the Antigua Grammar School (AGS), when they clash in the final of the Boys Under-15 Schools Cricket 20 overs Competition on Thursday at the Rising Sun after both teams emerged victorious in their semi-finals clashes on Tuesday.

AGS fought off a gallant effort from the Sir Novelle Richards Academy (SNRA) to win by two wickets and book their spot in the final.

Battig first, Sir Novelle posted 66 for six in their allotted 20 overs with their best effort coming from Shaun Balgobin who made 13. Rolando Fields was the pick of the bowlers for AGS with two wickets for 14 runs in four overs.

AGS then reached their target at 67 for eight in 18.4 overs with Hosea Roberts hitting a top score of 14. Rohan John did the damage with the ball for Sir Novelle, claiming four wickets for 15 runs in his four overs.

Meanwhile, PMS made light work of Pares Secondary School to win by 10 wickets and surge into the final.

Batting first, Pares posted 68 for eight in 15.5 overs. There were three wickets each for Tyron Francis (3/15) and Ondre Peters (3/21) while Kerique Mentore picked up two for 14 all bowling for the victors. PMS then made easy of the chase, reaching 69 without loss.

The final is slated to bowl off at 2:15pm.
