Man pleads guilty to 2016 killing of Syrian man

Almost four years after the Syrian community lost one of their own to a fatal shooting, the second accused has pleaded guilty to the crime.

Corey Mills, of Clare Hall, and Ian Daniels, of Skerritts Pasture, were accused of shooting dead 38-year-old Mazem Daher at his Old Parham Road fast food restaurant on April 23 2016 at around 11.30pm.

And yesterday in the High Court, Daniels admitted to manslaughter since evidence revealed that he was not the shooter.

Daniels was charged along with Mills who previously admitted to shooting and killing Daher.
