The former head of the Financial Services Regulatory Commission (FSRC), Leroy King has lost his fight of extradition to the United States today as the highest court of the land – the Judicial Committee of Privy Council – upheld previous judgments found against him.
With the loss, King has now exhausted all avenues of legal recourse in his fight against extradition.
He will be facing 11 wire and mail fraud charges for allegedly facilitating the US $7 billion Ponzi Scheme that was orchestrated by R. Allen Stanford who was found guilty and jailed for 110 years in the U.S in 2012.
King now has used all avenues of appeal in this ongoing 10-year fight against his pending extradition.
When OBSERVER media contacted King’s attorney, Dr. David Dorsett, he indicated that, “he wished not to comment on the matter at this time,” and refused to confirm or deny the reports of King’s final hearing.
