Huge win for Flyers as Elite keep Daggers winless in ABBA Basketball League

Donte Trimmingham scored the bulk of the points for the Flyers Basketball in their 87-58 victory over Ottos Warriors in the Division Two of the ABBA Basketball League at the JSC Sports Complex on Saturday night.

T-Shawn Lewis and Javonte Daley contributed 21 and 11 points respectively, while Victor Osbourne and Faisal Obeidat were the top scorers for the Warriors with 12 points each.

Trimmingham was also second on the rebound list behind Michael Barton of the Warriors with 18 rebounds and seven assists.

The match was evenly matched in the first quarter with Flyers holding a 21-16 edge but they showed utter dominance sinking some 23 points to Warriors’ four.

At the halftime, Flyers held a 44-20 lead over the Warriors and continued their dominance winning the third quarter 24-19, and drew the final quarter 19-19.

In the other match between Wadadli Elite and Old Road Daggers, Devante Carter and Orion Seraphine combined to sink 19 and 15 points respectively to keep Daggers winless with an 86-70 triumph.

Braulio Lopez top-scored for the losing side with 26 points.

Elite dominated the first three quarters winning 22-14, 19-17 and 24-15 only losing the fourth quarter 21-24. It is their second win in three outings.
