Fearless Crew remain unbeaten in local basketball

Ramco Medicare Fearless Crew 1 pushed their undefeated streak to 7-0 after their latest win on Wednesday night.

The Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) Division 2 front-runners edged out F and G Trading Cuties Ovals Ojays II, 57-56, in the feature encounter at Ovals.

Adissa “Rass-i” Harris led the victors with 16 points with assistance from Hansen Richards who snatched 14 rebounds.

Ovals’ Curl Simon was the lone player in double figures with 14 points. Teammate, Shane Riveira contributed, grabbing 15 rebounds in a losing effort.

Ovals’ third division team also suffered a loss falling to Eye Mobile Vision Care Wadadli Elites I, 71-65.

Despite a 39-point, eight rebounds’ performance by Daniel Perez and a 12-point, 29 rebounds showing by Aidan Cannonier, Ovals could not secure the win.

Rhonde Davis was the leading scorer for Elites with 21 points. Teammate, Najae George had 17 points, 13 rebounds and six assists.

Meanwhile, at JSC, Wadadli Elites II were defeated by Spanish Heat 74-69 with Gabriel Perez leading the charge with 20 points, six rebounds and five steals.

Javonte Daley was the leading scorer for Elites II, banking 21 points. Shamie Omard, also of Elites, chipped in netting 12 points and grabbing 16 rebounds.

Dream Chasers bounced back from their upsetting loss to trounce Fearless Crew II by a 10-point deficit.

The 86-76 match-up saw Kenrick Evans lead the way for the victors with a game high 33 points and 22 rebounds.

He was assisted by Shawn Charles who made 12, Tyreke Lewis-11, and Jesus Lopez 11.

Delroy Foster Jr made 21 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in a losing effort.

Joel Santana had 17, Dominic Roach-13 and Ryan Sheppard 11.
