Heavy-duty equipment operator and businessman Robert “Robby” Spencer Jr., died on Monday after suffering what relatives said was a fatal epileptic seizure.
Distraught relatives, who were still dealing with the initial shock of Spencer’s devastating death, did not wish to speak when contacted by OBSERVER media.\
The 35-year-old, whose family operates the Monroe Spencer Heavy Duty Equipment on American Road and a bar at his Friars Hill Road home, is said to have suffered an initial seizure, however it is believed that it was a second epileptic episode that took his life.
Sources revealed that Spencer suffered from the condition as a youth and had gone several years unaffected.
Shocked relatives and friends took to social media to express their sympathies to the businessman’s bereaved family.
Many of the posts reflected on the man some described as a fun-loving, kind man who was a great father and true friend.
“Shaking my head. What’s next? Just saw him at my lil’ hangout spot at Jr.’s.
What is going on? Jesus take the wheel,” one post read. Another tribute added,
“Rest in peace Robby. Working at a gas station you get to know a lot of people, he was one who came and says ‘long time me na see you. You good?’ You haffu ask why the good just die jack. Me nah lie e bother me.”
“Real good brother R.I.P bro. Still can’t believe, just
Saturday night me and the boss inside a Chronixx a full joy. Just can’t believe this one when I got the news today,” asocial media user added.
