Rackaman Construction Strictly Business and Bryson’s Shipping & Insurance Bullets will clash in the final of the LL Supply Ltd, IBSC Tape Ball T20 Summer Classic on October 9 after both teams enjoyed success over their opponents in the semifinals of the competition on Sunday.

Playing at the Antigua Grammar School (AGS), Bullets defeated Dredgers by 36 runs in the first semifinal clash.

Winning the toss and opting to bat, Bullets raised 129 all out from 18.4 overs with Essan Warner leading the charge with 33 runs. Damian Lowenfield and Demari Benta chipped in with 25 and 23 runs respectively.

Bowling for the opponents, Mike France bagged four wickets for 20 runs in four overs while Melvin Charles claimed three for 26 also in four overs.

Dredgers however, were not up to the chase as they were restricted to just 93 in 19.2 overs. Their best effort with the bat came from Casmore Trudge who made 26 with France adding 18 to the effort. There were two wickets each for Elroy Francis Jr and Ishmael Peters bowling for Bullets.

Meanwhile in the other semifinal clash also played at AGS, Strictly Business booked their place in the final with a 42 runs triumph over VIP.

Batting first, Strictly Business managed to amass just 107 in their 20 overs, losing six wickets in the process. Kerry Mentore led the way with 22 while Owen Graham made 21. Dimitri Lucas was best with the ball for the opponents, snatching two wickets for 20 runs in four overs.

When their turn at the crease arrived, VIP crumbled for just 65 runs in 13 overs with Kenrick Scott making 26 runs.  Jewel Andrew picked up four wickets for just five runs in a menacing spell of two overs while there were two wickets each for Graham and Mentore.

Sunday’s final, slated for AGS, bowls off at 1:30 pm while the third place fixture between VIP and Dredgers takes place at 10:00 am at the same venue.
