Police in Jamaica were searching for the father of two children, who together with their 24-year-old mother, were doused with a corrosive substance resulting in her death, according to CANA reports.

Police confirmed that Sherry-Ann Morrison, a cashier, died at hospital after the attack which occurred at her home in Clarendon, south of here on Sunday.

The authorities say the condition of the two children, a two year-old boy and a four-year-old girl, is not fully known, and that they are searching for the unidentified man, described as their father, who has been linked to the incident.

Evadne Morrison, the mother of the 24 year old woman, urged Jamaican women to walk away from abusive relationships.

“Don’t stay in it and get hurt like my daughter. She never complained to me about anything,”: she told radio listeners.
