Wins for Freetown, Masters and Mahico as Parish League bowls off

Seatons saw defeat against neighbours Freetown losing by six wickets in their encounter of the Antigua Parish League on Saturday. Batting first, they made 107 for four from 24 overs with Erron Lawrence cracking 48 and Xavier Freeland 24. Hughan Tonge had figures of two for 10 runs while Cleton Payne got two for 19.

 In reply, Freetown only lost four wickets has they got to 111 in 17 overs. Kief Baltimore scored 29 with Jaheim Norde adding 23. Freeland picked up two for 17 from his six overs.

On Sunday, Freetown were defeated by Masters in a three-wicket loss. They batted first only scoring 100 from 27 overs with Jarel Phillip and Kief Baltimore scoring 28 and 22 respectively. Former Antiguan and Barbuda fast bowler Stephan Matthew picked up three wickets, Loy Weste picked up three for eight runs from four overs. Masters got to the target in 22 overs with the score of 102 for seven. Wendell Batchlor got 36 and Gershum Phillip contributed 26. Bowling for Freetown is Antwon Willock had two for 21 while Cleton Payne grabbed two for 20.

Mahico Cricket Club got off to commanding start with a 119 runs win over Sea View Farm. They batted first posting 204 for 2 as 15-year-old J’quan Athanaze cracked 80 not out, while Zianni Da Silva got 79.

Sea View Farm was then dismissed for 85 runs as Athanaze returned to snap up four wickets for 20 runs, Michael Cornelius three for 16 runs and Dale Jones Henry had two for 35.
