Urlings push for top spot in Second Division

Urlings FC pulled within one point of leaders Willikies in Zone A of the Football Association’s Second Division on Wednesday, following a massive 7-0 thrashing of Pares when they met at the Urlings playing field.

Jalan Willock led the way for Urlings with a double, scoring in minutes four and 14 minutes respectively while Roey Techeira, Philmore Hughes, Jaric Richards, Kayan London and Cozie Richardson all scored once as Urlings move to 30 points after 13 matches.

They are one point adrift  of Willikies who have played 14 matches. Pares remain on one point at the bottom of the standings.

Also, Jennings United enjoyed a 3-0 victory over Garden Stars with all three goals coming from Jeanpierre Williams who scored in minutes 19, 39 and 80 respectively.

Jennings move to 18 points and seventh in the standings while Garden Stars are second from bottom with four points.

Bethesda was also on the winning side on Wednesday, defeating Golden Grove 3-1 to move to 12 points and seventh in Zone B while 5P’s had the better of Real Blizzard 3-1 also in Zone B. 5P’s are now fifth with 16 points as Blizzard remain at the bottom of the standings with six points.
