Trio charged in dive shop burglary

Three men have been charged in connection with a burglary at an English Harbour dive shop in which more than $30,000 worth of equipment is said to have been stolen.

The trio are expected to appear before All Saints Magistrate’s Court today.

Mauriceson Valentine, 19, of Potters Village, and Dashaungh Richards, 20, of Grays Farm, are jointly charged with breaking in and larceny.

Alvin Goodwin, 30, of Grays Farm, is charged with receiving stolen goods.

DiveCarib in Dockyard Drive was burgled on Friday, prompting owners to offer a US$1,000 reward for information leading to the retrieval of the goods.

A police source told Observer almost all of the items had been recovered by officers investigating the incident.
