Teams score big wins in Rhea Jarvis football tournament

Action in the Rhea Jarvis Nations League Cup continued over the weekend with matches in the Under-6, Under-8, Under-10 and Under-13 divisions at the North Coast playing field in Mount Pleasant.

Contesting the top division, CPTSA Wings produced the largest margin of victory in their category with a 2-0 triumph over Young Warriors. Both goals were scored by Joshua James. Young Warriors however rebounded in their next match, beating Grays Green FC 1-0 with the lone goal of the contest coming from K’Vonte Lewis.

Also in the Under-13 division, North Coast FC and Kome FC played to a 1-1 draw. Liam Munn netted for North Coast while Gabrielle DeSouza scored for Kome. Villa Lions and Pigotts played to a scoreless draw.

It was, however, North Coast FC that produced the largest margin of victory over the weekend, beating Young Warriors 12-0 in the Under-8 division.

Aziel Zachariah and Caleb Holder both scored hattricks, while Zaine Williams and Elijah Southwell both scored twice. Single strikes by Logan Munn and Shamore Harrison accounted for the other goals.

The run of bad luck continued for Young Warriors in Under-10 division as they were beaten 5-0 by North Coast FC.  Christopher Walters was on target with a hattrick while Dylan Rathbone and Laylan Powell both scored once.

There was Under-10 victory as well for Pigotts FC who beat Grays Green FC 2-1. Tevorn Henderson and Nathan Farracho both scored once for the victors. Tiwuan Samuel accounted for Grays Green’s only strike.

Also in the Under-10, Grays Green defeated CPTSA Wings 4-1. Tiwaun Samuel scored a hattrick while Kaleel Lawrence netted once for the victors. Jordon Michael scored the lone goal for Wings.

Meanwhile, in the Under-6 division, CPTSA Wings went under to Pigotts FC 3-1 while North Coast beat Young Warriors 2-0.
