The Lawmen were all smiles over the weekend after securing their second title

It was celebration time for the Police cricket team as they won their second title in the ACB Parish League at the Police Recreation Grounds (PRG) on Saturday over Freetown.

Opting to field, the Lawmen restricted their opponents to 119 in 37.5 overs with a 29 and 23-run performance from two former national batsmen, Austin Richards Jr and Cleton Payne.

Lashorn Barnard and James Cornelius took three wickets while Lincoln Africa took two.

They then surged to 122 for four in 26.1 overs, winning by six wickets to hoist the Sir Richie Richardson limited overs title.

Police’s Damon Valentine led the Lawmen with the bat making 26 runs, with assistance from Lincoln Africa who followed his performance with the bat, making 23. 

Teammate, Jeron James made 20.

The hardware adds to the Dave Joseph trophy they won months ago.

They will now focus their attention to the Curtly Ambrose competition starting on May 28.
