Old Road remain on top

Colin James Old Road continue to show their dominance in the B Division of the Antigua and Barbuda Netball Association (ABNA) league as they trounced Hon. Asot Michael Parham, 38-11 on Saturday night at the YMCA Sports Complex.
 Old Road were led by two former national junior players, Zenita Browne and Jamilla Fritz as Browne netted 20 of her 38 attempts and Fritz 18 of 27.
The round south team outplayed Parham in all four quarters leaving no chance for a comeback.
Amber Williams of Parham netted eight of her 17 attempts while Shakea O’Garro made two of five.
Powerhouse team, Stingray Stingers U16, also found themselves in the winner’s circle, this time defeating Massy United Grays Green Tigers, 19-8.
 T’keyah Minott led the charge for the victors scoring 15 of her 36 attempts with assistance from Sheniah Limerick who netted four.
Grays Green’s Ianthea Lawrence made five of her 10 attempts while teammate, Ashley Boston had two of seven in a losing effort.
Games will continue on Tuesday in the B Division at 7 p.m., as Invincible Stars will take on Hon. Asot Michael Parham while in the A Division, also at 8:30 p.m., Running Rebelz will face Invincible Stars. (Carlena Knight)
