Kelsick And Weathered Put Team Terminix In Winners’ Circle For Second Straight Race

Team Terminix, for a second straight race, dominated the podium in the Elite Class by claiming the top two positions in the ‘Bethesda to Quintyne and Back’ Individual time Trial put on by the Antigua and Barbuda Cycling Federation (ABCF) on Sunday.

Jeffrey Kelsick, who finished second in the body’s season opener two weeks ago, beat then winner Sean Weathered to win the top class in a time of 24.33.36. Weathered had a time of 25:13.74. Both cyclists represented Team Terminix.

Ghere Coates, riding as an independent, finished third in a time of 26:32.17.

There was victory as well for Delvin Peters as an independent in the Masters Class. Peters had a time of 27:38.63 to finish ahead of Ira Fabian (28:48.08) and Wayne Henry (29:01.18) who were second and third respectively. Both riders represented Road Runners.

In the Female Class, Lindsay Duffy was best in a time of 36:45.28, finishing ahead of her Road Runners teammate Nina Killick who had a time of 41:53.22 in second.

Joel Griffith dominated the Sports Class in a time of 30:36.81 as team Road Runners made a clean sweep of that division also. He was followed by Abbiel Flemming (31:23.02) and Jason Adams (32:06.72).

Meanwhile in the Cadets Class, independent rider Deljay Peters clocked 33:32.68 to finish atop the podium with Tahje Browne (34:00.02) of Wadadli Cycling Academy and Aiofe Smith (41:00.37) of Road Runners finishing second and third respectively.

Chasondre Tonge, the lone competitor in the Jr Female category, clocked a time of 39:49.44.
