Former Antigua and Barbuda Amateur Volleyball Association (ABAVA) Business League champions, Jumby Bay, continue to display their dominance in the ongoing league.
After a one-year absence, the powerhouse team still remains undefeated in Zone 1 as they recorded their latest win Sunday night at the YMCA Volleyball Indoor facility.
Jumby Bay edged out ECAB 2-1 in the best of three sets winning 27-25, 22-25,15-6.
Sandals also joined the former champions in the winner’s circle as they gained a 2-0 victory over MEDSO, winning 25-20, 25-19 in Zone 2.
Twenty-four hours prior, last year’s runners-up, Scotia Bank edged out Inland Revenue Department (IRD) 2-1 in sets.
After losing the first set 16-25, Scotia Bank rallied to win the other two sets 25-18, 15-11.
In the other match played that night, Ministry of National Festivals, Arts, Culture and Sports (MFACS) defeated Police in straight sets, winning 25-21, 25-22.
