Honduras edges out Benna Boys in final group match

The Under-20 men’s football team, the Benna Boys were edged out 4-3 by Honduras on Friday night in their final Group C match of the ongoing Under-20 CONCACAF Championships at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida.
The Benna Boys brought the fight to the undefeated Honduras team, drawing first blood in the 5th minute with a strike from Zayna Hakeem and in the 16th minute with a goal from Akeem Isaac.
Honduras however would quickly get one back in the 21st minute with a goal from Luis Palma.
The Benna Boys
pushed the lead to 3-1 just before the half time as TJ Bramble put one past the goalkeeper.
Honduras, however, would not be phased and from the start of the second half, dominated the match.
Goals quickly followed in the 68th (Carlos Mejia), 71st (Mariano Alvarez) and 88th minutes (Selvin Guevara) to give the frontrunners a perfect undefeated record in the 6-team standings.
Cuba were the other team to advance to the second round alongside Honduras, finishing with 12 points ahead of third place team, Dominican Republic who have nine points.
Antigua and Barbuda finished in the fourth spot with six points and have been eliminated.
