GUYANA-SUICIDE-Police investigate suspected suicide of colleague

GEORGETOWN, Guyana, May 5, CMC – The police have launched an investigation into the suspected suicide of a female member of the Guyana Police Force.
It’s reported that the female special constable who was on duty on the compound of the CARICOM Rice Mills, shot herself in the throat on Thursday evening.
The police say that the cop – identified as Special Constable Shandal George, left her base point and headed to the washroom.
Moments later, explosions were heard and she was found lifeless on the floor with a gun closeby.
It is not known what triggered the incident.
