Grenades Fc recorded their third victory in four showings in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) Premier Division on Saturday with a comfortable 2-0 victory over newcomers Ottos Rangers at the Antigua Recreation Grounds (ARG).

Contesting the feature match of a double-header, Grenades had strikes in minutes 13 and 79 as they move to 10 points at the top of the 10-team standings.

Steven Roberts gave Grenades the lead on minute 13 of the contest but the round south men had to wait another 66 minutes before striker Stefan Smith guaranteed the three points with a 79th minute conversion.

Grenades are yet to lose a match in the competition as they continue to enjoy a dream start while Rangers suffered their second loss in four outings. They remain on six points and in the top half of the standings.

Meanwhile, in Saturday’s opening contest, former champions Parham FC and Old Road FC played to a scoreless draw with probably the only exciting moment in the match coming in the 85th minute when Parham’s Kenja Benjamin was driven off by the match referee.

Parham continue to occupy the bottom of the standings with just two points, while Old Road remain seventh with just four points from their four outings.
