Climatologist says keep watching weather disturbance

Climatologist at the Meteorological Services Dale Destin is telling residents to keep monitoring the area of disturbance in the Atlantic Ocean.
he says this disturbance has a 60 per cent chance of developing into a Tropical Cyclone and is expected to enter the vicinity of the northern Leeward Islands by Saturday.
Destin says residents should have had safety measures in place since June 1, the beginning of the hurricane season.

Earlier official weather predictions indicate that this year’s hurricane season is expected to be more active than historical averages.
