Captain Brian ‘Bizzle’ Chase was welcomed yesterday by top government officials at the VC Bird International Airport as he landed—30 minutes earlier than expected—an American Airlines flight from Florida.

Captain Chase, who dedicated the latest step in his aviation career to his late mother, encouraged youth to never give up.

“Shout-out to my youths of Antigua and Barbuda; just know that anything is possible, put your mind to it, work with a lot of patience, put God in your heart, stay away from drugs, and stay focused in school,” he expressed.

Tourism Minister Charles Fernandez also gave remarks where he referenced Captain Chase’s service in flying the first commercial flight to Antigua in 2020.

“In 2020, when we reopened the airport, this was the pilot who flew the first flight into Antigua, and it was a very, very moving moment for all of us.

“So, I really want to congratulate you, and when you reached out to me and mentioned that you were doing the flight today, I said we got to pull-out all the stops, because it’s really a very important moment for all of us,” the tourism minister said.

Meanwhile, Governor General Sir Rodney Williams said that persons can accomplish big things despite coming from small islands.
