BRITISH VIRGIN ISLANDS-CRIME- Two women charged after attacking Jamaican woman

TORTOLA, British Virgin Islands, May 19, CMC – Two women who reportedly wounded a Jamaican woman during a confrontation at a bar earlier this month, have been charged with unlawful and malicious wounding.
The police report that Jelissa Malone and Melicia Bodkin both from Tortola where both offered station bail.
BVI News Online reports that the Jamaican woman was at the bar when two women – unknown to her – allegedly attacked and beat her severely.
The wounded woman, whose name was not released, was treated at hospital.
Malone and Bodkin will be allowed to plead and tell their side of the story when they appear in court on June 23.
