Press Release: LIAT CONTINUES TO MONITOR HURRICANE IRMA

ST. JOHN’S, ANTIGUA, September 3, 2017 – LIAT wishes to advise passengers that due to the impending passage of Hurricane Irma, several destinations in LIAT’s network may be affected. Based on official sources, Hurricane Irma is expected to move over or near the north eastern Leeward Islands. LIAT will continue to monitor official advisories and advise passengers of any changes to our operations.
Passengers who have flights over the next week (4 th – 11th September) to islands north of Dominica that may be in the projected path will be allowed to make changes to their reservations. LIAT will waive all fees for these changes over the next week. Passengers are urged to contact LIAT’s Call Centre for rebooking at their earliest convenience:

LIAT also wishes to advise that passengers who decide to travel but are unable to complete their journey due to disruption caused by weather conditions, will not be provided with meals, transportation, hotel accommodation etc. Passengers with onward connections are advised to contact the respective regional and international carriers.
Persons are asked to continue to monitor their local media and weather reports. LIAT will continue to monitor the progress of the storm and will issue further updates and advisories via its website (www.liat.com) and social media platforms.
