Barbudans concerned over late pay

People employed by the Barbuda Council are hoping to get their one-week outstanding pay shortly.
Workers tell OBSERVER media the council is continuously experiencing cash flow problems and is once again late with their pay.
They say even if they get paid this week, they do not know whether last week’s outstanding pay will be added to this week as well.
Sources say monthly paid workers were only paid on June 15^th for the month of May.
When our newsroom contacted Barbuda Minister Arthur Nibbs he refused to comment.
Then, he said the workers will be paid on Friday.
