Zamine Shipping had a productive day, first receiving a forfeit win against BOE before defeating Pel Mix Stars by 23 runs in an additional fixture. Tyrone Williams Jr (20) and Blair Thomas (14) helped Zamine post 71 for nine, before Andra Samuel three scalps for three runs and Dorian Grant had figures two for six runs restricting Pel Mix Stars to 48 for six.
TG Welding dominated Grill Box AGSPT in the tournament’s opener, winning by 61 runs. Dario Hodge top scored with (20), Charanlall Ramjohn had (14) and Deran Benta (12) helped TG post 78 for eight. Benta then starred with the ball, taking four for five in his two overs, while Ramjohn claimed two wickets in a maiden over as Grill Box collapsed to 17 for nine. Benta’s all-round performance earned him Man of the Match.
ABDF showcased their batting superiority over their opponents by chasing down Pel Mix Stars’ 70 for three in just 4.1 overs reaching 71 for one to win by nine overs. After Isiah Viville (30) and Gaster Destouche (20) set a competitive total for Pel Mix Stars, ABDF’s Sawandi Ambrose (29) and Tron Payne (23) made light work of the chase, with Payne named Man of the Match.
The day concluded with Buck and Sons Landscaping Services overwhelming Construction Solutions by eight wickets. After dismissing Construction for 57, with Menova Govia taking three for 19, Elroy Francis Jr (27) and Kimani George (18) steered Buck and Sons to victory reaching 61 for two in 5.1 overs.
