A Donovans man who is awaiting trial for one murder has now been additionally charged with the murder of Charlesworth Richards, Jr. of Liberta. This week, police charged 24-year-old Shalom Bailey with killing Richards six months ago.
Although Bailey was scheduled to appear in the St. John’s Magistrates’ Court yesterday, according to police, OBSERVER media learned that the prisoner was not brought before the court. Bailey is already remanded at Her Majesty’s Prison following charges in the June 21 shooting death of Richards at Ras Freeman Estate in Liberta village.
In the initial police report on the Liberta killing, it stated that at least two of the gunmen were dressed in blue coveralls. They claimed to be members of the Office of National Drug and Money Laundering Control Policy (ONDCP) when they stormed a residential building at the estate, opening fire on Richards and other occupants.
