Young Warriors remain winless in local basketball

The agony continues for CJ Communications Young Warriors Ballers as they have yet to record a win in the ongoing Antigua and Barbuda Basketball Association (ABBA) Division 3 league.

Young Warriors record moved to 0-6 after their latest loss on Tuesday night at JSC.

They went under to A-Mobile Young Rivals 82-41.

Jeffrey George led the victors with 27 points, 18 rebounds and eight steals with assistance from Tahj Kirby who had 24 points and 13 rebounds.

Teammates, Dyllan Joseph and Inigio Hazelwood contributed scoring 13 and 10 points respectively. Joseph had an additional 11 rebounds and nine assists and Hazelwood nine rebounds and nine steals.

Irwin Mills was the leading scorer for the struggling Young Warriors team with 17 points while teammate Jahred James chipped in netting 12 and snatching 13 rebounds.

Ottos Vikings were also victorious that night beating Police Vertex Reloaded 82-41.

Vikings’ Adrian Carnegie led all scorers with 18 points. Teammate, Shamar Joseph assisted with 13 points, six rebounds and six steals.

Alfred Telemaque had 13 points and 17 rebounds for the lawmen while teammates Jair Benta and Gavin Walker both sank 10 points. Benta had an additional 21 rebounds.

Meanwhile at Ottos, Max Fernandez Gunners defeated Bolans Beach Boys 63-51.

Olivee Morris had a game high 31 points, seven rebounds and five steals.

Tyler Jacobs chipped in scoring 13 and grabbing nine rebounds.

Jahmarie Hastings also got in on the action dominating the boards with an astonishing 26 rebounds and eight block shots.

Tyndale Telemaque had 21 points and seven rebounds for Beach Boys while teammate Brian Aaron contributed banking 10 points.
