Work starts on additional classrooms for Barbuda schools

Work has begun on temporary classrooms to facilitate the relocation of the Holy Trinity Primary School in Barbuda for the new school year, that’s according to the National Office of Disaster Services (NODS).
The agency said in a release that six classrooms along with facilities for the principal, staff and bathrooms will be constructed to house the primary school on the premises of Low School, which is west of the former location of Holy Trinity. In addition, two classrooms will be added to the Sir Mc Chesney George Secondary School.
According to the release, contractors from Barbuda, along with workers from the Barbuda Council, are undertaking the work which should be completed in time for September.
So far, the Roman Catholic Church has donated some funds which will go towards the work.
