Woman found bludgeoned in Radio Range

A woman has been hospitalized in critical condition with injuries to the head and is believed to have been the victim of a bludgeoning incident yesterday morning.
Forty-seven-year-old Althea Henry of Cashew Hill was discovered in a bushy area outside a private school in Radio Range. She was bleeding from the nose, ear and mouth.
The injured woman, who was lying on a piece of cardboard with a huge, bloody rock next to her head when she was found, was rushed to the Mount St John’s Medical Centre via ambulance.
Lawmen have been tight lipped about what may have transpired but confirmed that they are investigating the circumstances leading up to discovery of the woman, who had reportedly left home for a morning walk before she was attacked.
They also said that a 53-year-old Jamaican man, who resides at Cashew Hill has been detained for questioning.
