The Antigua Power Company and Board of Education notched victories in the Cool and Smooth ABBA Business League in games played on Saturday, with APC edging Lion Feast with a score of 60-48 in the first match.
Sergio Symister led the charge for Antigua Power Company with 13 points and 9 rebounds, while Ezekiel Francois contributed a double-double with 12 points and 13 rebounds, along with 4 assists. Adrian Carnegie stood out for Lion Feast, matching Symister’s 13-point performance.
The second game of the evening saw the Board of Education secure a victory against Antigua and Barbuda Transport Board, winning 61-55. Xavier Meade was the standout player for the Board of Education, recording a double-double with 20 points and 11 rebounds. His teammate David Hernandez also had a strong showing with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals.
Transport Board’s Devorn Benjamin led all scorers with 23 points, while also contributing 7 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 steals.
After four weeks of an intriguing display of competitive action, individual performances are becoming a talking point among fans and analysts. Lincoln Weekes of Lava Smoke Shop currently leads the scoring charts with an impressive 255 points, followed by Steven Matthew of Anjo Wholesale with 183 points. He also holds the highest points in a game this season with 60 points.
Other notable scorers include Devorn Benjamin (A & B Transport Board) with 166 points, Keroi Lee (Sandals) with 145 points, and Tavarus Benta (Richie’s Shooterz) rounding out the top five with 133 points.
