Morning Ballers and Green City were winners in the Anderson E. Carty Gray’s Green Football League on Monday while Pro Ballers and TS Roma had similar results in the Denfield “Tody” Thomas Memorial League in Liberta.
A Leroy Powell strike was all it took for Morning Ballers to take full points against Tamo FC when the teams clashed at the King George V Ground while Audwin Joseph scored Green City’s lone strike in their 1-0 victory over Real Starz.
Rangers and Blackburn FC played to a 1-1 draw in Monday’s other contest. Shaquille Carr scored for Rangers while Dale Barton had the lone strike for Blackburn.
In the Denfield “Tody” Thomas Memorial League, Pro Ballers defeated Bethesda 2-1 with single strikes coming from Courtney “Spug” Clarke and Jahkime “Pipey” Gomes for the victors. Kurt Richards scored the only goal for Bethesda.
In the other match played on Monday, Qwami Thomas had the lone goal as TS Roma defeated East Bank Demerara 1-0.
