Leader of Government Business in the Senate Lennox Weston has criticised the nation’s diplomats and deemed them unproductive.

Weston was speaking the Senate on a financial regulatory bill which he deems to have been unfairly imposed on the country.

The minister of state in the ministry of finance says the powerful nations are imposing unfair rules on smaller countries.

Weston says under a new bill all transactions above $30,000 will have to be reported to international partners.

Weston however says such bills must be passed quickly to avoid black listings and other sanctions from richer nations.

The senator says imposed rules are limiting the nation’s options for economic development.
