West Indies made it a clean sweep of the ODI series versus Sri Lanka on Sunday winning by five wickets at the Sir Vivian Richards Cricket Ground.

West Indies won the toss and decided to field, holding Sri Lanka to 274 for six in the 50 overs.

PWH de Silva was the top batsman for the tourists with an 80 not out performance.

Ashen Bandara was not out for 55 runs while teammates Danushka Gunathilaka and captain Dimuth Karunaratne had 38 and 31 runs respectively.  

Pathum Nissanka made 24, Dasun Shanaka 22 and Dinesh Chandimal 16.

Akeal Hosein was the chief marksman for the West Indies with his three-wicket haul. Alzarri Joseph and Jason Mohammed both took one wicket.

In reply, West Indies surged to 27 for six with nine balls remaining.

Man of the match Darren Bravo led the team with a stellar 102-run performance with the bat to give West Indies the win.

Shai Hope contributed with 64 runs while captain Kieron Pollard was 53 not out.

Sri Lanka’s Suranga Lakmal made a favourable effort as he took two wickets. PWH de Silva, Thisara Perera and Danushka Gunathilaka all took one wicket in their loss.

West Indies thus far have been 2-0 in all series versus Sri Lanka, having beaten them 2-1 in the T20 series earlier this month.

They will look to make it 3-0 in all formats as the first Test match between the two teams slated to begin on March 29 at 10am.
