For the second time in six months, the Old Runway home of an octogenarian has been targeted by unknown perpetrators.
Eighty-three-year-old Bentley Malone said that he was at home about 4 am, yesterday, when a female occupant of the house heard a commotion outside a locked bedroom.
The taxi driver told police that his surveillance footage captured images of two men, armed with cutlasses, entering the home through a window near the garage.
However, they both fled when the woman raised an alarm.
The homeowner told the police that three unoccupied bedrooms within the residence had been ransacked but up to press time not much seemed to be missing, other than some juices the thieves consumed while they were on the premises.
Last December, person(s) unknown kicked in a door to the senior citizen’s home and stole electronic devices and other items belonging to the family.
At the time of the 2016 break-in, no one was at home and police never charged anyone in connection with the crime.
