Venezuelan Embassy yet to locate family of A&B’s latest road fatality

Officials at the Venezuelan Embassy say they are finding it difficult to locate the family of Joel Torres Roa, who died in a vehicular accident on the All Saints Road early Monday morning.

A spokesperson at the office, located on Old Parham Road, said the Embassy has been unable to make telephone contact with the members of Roa’s family since they live in a remote part of Venezuela. Roa, 28, was in the backseat of a Toyota Corolla A36347 when it was involved in collision with a Rav 4 near the Goodwill Agency Building.

Leonard Cabral, acting assistant commissioner of police, told our newsroom on Monday that the vehicles were allegedly travelling in opposite directions. The two drivers were rushed to the Mount St John’s Medical Centre (MSJMC) for treatment.
