UPP must share the blame for carnival debts

The leader of the Democratic National Alliance (DNA) and Member of Parliament for All Saints East & St Luke Joanne Massiah has said that successive administrations are to blame for the threat that recently loomed over the carnival celebrations.
A group of companies had threatened to withhold services if they did not get hundreds of thousands of dollars that they are owed from previous carnivals. After meeting with the Cabinet yesterday, the businessmen have pulled back the threat but Massiah said the ongoing state of affairs is simply not good enough.
