United move to the top of table, Wings record second win in ABFA’s Second Division

Jennings United moved to the top of the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) Second Division standings after a 3-0 victory over Blackburn Palace FC on Thursday.

Jean-Pierre Williams was a goal shy of a hattrick for the victors scoring in the 33rd and 67th minutes of play.

Deionte Harrigan also found the back of the net in minute 51 for United.

United have yet to drop any points this season, meaning they have neither lost or drawn a game. They now move to 21 points after seven showings on the 15-team table while Blackburn Palace are 14th with three points after six matches.

CPTSA Wings recorded their second win of the season defeating Young Warriors FC 3-1 at Johnsons.

Dorian Meade had a brace for the victors scoring in the 5th and 50th minutes while his teammate, Marques Gordon scored in the 27th minute.

Young Warriors did manage to get one back with a goal in the 65th minute from K’Vonte Lewis.

Wings are now 10th with six points after seven showings. A place above Young Warriors who also have six points but are behind due to goal difference.

Meanwhile, in the other game played that day, Real Blizzard edged out FC Master Ballerz 2-1.

Taharie James scored both goals for the victors, finding the net in minutes 26 and 40.

Master Ballerz’ Shem Dascent was the lone goal-scorer for his team.

Blizzard are now 5th with 13 points while Master Ballerz are 12th with five points.
