United, Fort Road, Potters and Willikies grab points in First Division

All Saints United and Fort Road both made headway on the standings in the Antigua and Barbuda Football Association (ABFA) First Division following victories on Tuesday.
Playing at home, All Saints United enjoyed an easy 3-0 victory over division newcomers John Hughes.
Shafeeq Joseph, Roger Hurst and Shane Blackwood each scored once as United leaped into the number two spot with six points, second only to FC Aston Villa on goal difference. John Hughes are third from bottom on the 12-team standings with only one point from three matches.
Meanwhile Fort Road were 2-0 winners over Hill Top when they clashed in Fort Road. Jerome Thomas gave Fort Road an early advantage before an own-goal by Hill Top’s Nucheal Greenaway accounted for Fort Road’s other conversion.
The victory lifts Fort Road to six points and third on the standings while Hill Top remains on four points and seventh on the standings.
Also on Tuesday in the First Division, Willikies had the better of Lion Hill 2-0 when they met in Golden Grove.
Striker Juwan Graham scored both goals for the newcomers as they move to six points and fifth on the standings due to goal difference. Lion Hill, following what was their first loss in three matches, remains on four points and eighth on the standings.
In the other match played on Tuesday, Potters Tigers broke a two-game losing streak when they inflicted a 2-1 defeat on home team, Freemans Village Scorpions.
Keon Greene and Jevez Lee each scored once for Potters while Scorpions’ lone strike came via an own goal by Lee.
Potters are now on three points after three matches and ninth on the standings while Scorpions remain on four points after the same number of matches and sixth on the standings.
