THE BRONX — Two more slashings happened this weekend in the Bronx this weekend — just hours apart.

Police say a woman was walking on Holland Avenue Saturday evening around 5 p.m. when two men jumped out of a car and stabbed the woman in the abdomen and slashed her right ear.

The woman was taken to Jacobi Medical Center. Her condition is unknown.

The second slashing happened less than 24 hours later around 3:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police say the 32-year-old man was slashed on the left side of his face by a stranger.

The victim told police the stranger approached him from behind in front of 920 East 173 St. and cut his face before fleeing.

No arrests have been made.

These incidents are just the latest in a string of slashings across the city this year.
