Two men were remanded to Her Majesty’s Prison on Monday, after appearing in the Magistrate’s Court to answer a number of charges. It is alleged that around 4:45 pm last Friday, both men were spotted in Galley Bay area with guns shooting at a flock of goats. The goats which are owned by a livestock farmer of Five Islands, was also shot at when he made an attempt to approach the area with his son and a friend. The men reportedly fled the area in a grey Kia Rio motor car A36056, which the police later found abandoned in some nearby bushes. Kirby was found hiding among some bushes not far from where the incident took place, and was arrested and taken into custody. A dead goat was also removed from the scene with what appeared to be a bullet wound to its side. Further investigations are being conducted into the matter.
