Two men are in police custody for unlicensed firearm and ammunition.

Around 4pm on Monday, August 19, the police intercepted a vehicle while they were on mobile patrol at Bendals and found a firearm and a magazine with several rounds of ammunition.

The driver and the occupant were taken into custody, and the vehicle was impounded and taken to the police station.

The police are carrying out further investigations into the matter.
